“It’s growing on me” is a wearable sculpture. This vest represents exposure therapy, something that I have had to go through as apart of my OCD. The vest took over 15hrs to make as it is needle felted, the process of creating it became another form of exposure therapy as I needed to reference mould spores.
I chose to make a vest as it is a piece of clothing that can be worn over or under other clothes, this represents how this intrusive thought is something that is attached to me regardless of if others can see it or not.
