Considering the pull of intrusive thoughts, “I don’t want to jump in the puddle” plays with ideas of childlike wonder and the excitement of jumping in puddles but as we get older we push aside the fun so that we don’t ruin our clothes.
This piece talks about how I don’t want to fall into the puddle of a OCD flare up but am still considering it while I ignore the ramifications of possibly losing myself in the process.
